Manchester United and Aston Villa are playing on the English Premier League schedule on Saturday and the match is from Old Trafford and will be on TV from NBC Sports Network and online from the NBCSN Live Extra website at 10 am ET as Wayne Rooney and company try and stay in position on the EPL table.
Man United comes in at fourth in the Premier League standings and they are coming in after missing out on things at the top last year. The team has the chance to finish in the top four for the Champions League and they also are within striking distance of the top if Chelsea falters and they stay hot. Robin Van Persie will be out with an ankle injury and Luke Shaw likely will be back, while Chris Smalling ig dealing with an illness and may not play.
Manchester United has wins against Tottenham and Liverpool and they won the matchup with the Reds in the road and they have tough matchups coming up. The team has the derby against Man City and that will be big and the team also has a game against Chelsea coming up at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea remains in first place in the EPL this season and Man United wants to keep trying to make up points, as they have only left five on the pitch over the last possible 27.
The team lost against Swansea City back in February and that was the last loss for the team and they played well at Anfield against the Reds. Man United has a sustained run of success against Aston Villa and they have not lost in the last 11 meetings, with eight wins in that time. Man United has won 37 points at home and that is the most in the league and they have kept clean sheets in three of the past four league games.
Man United comes in after a win against Liverpool and before that they won 3-0 against Tottenham. The team lost against Arsenal in the FA Cup quarters and they won over Newcastle before that along with Sunderland at home. The team has played well and they will be looking to keep things up at the end of the season.
