The NY Giants are coming into the 2015 season with Eli Manning in the final year of his contract and the team is okay with him playing out his deal without an extension and this comes as the team has a top 10 draft pick and some targets may include Bryce Petty, Brandon Scherff, Landon Collins, Kevin White and Amari Cooper for general manager Jerry Reese.

Dan Graziano at ESPN writes that just because the team isn't giving Manning an extension, it doesn't mean that he will be going anywhere after 2015. The team may look at drafting someone like Bryce Petty or Garrett Grayson to get a succession plan in place, but Graziano writes that the Giants expect Manning to be with the team long term.

The Giants have Victor Cruz coming back from an injury and according to NFL.com, Tom Coughlin said that there is a chance Cruz could miss the start of the season. Amari Cooper and DeVante Parker are potential drat options for the Giants in the first round and they also could look at players in the mid to late rounds, as this year has a deep class of receivers. Kevin White is an option, while names like Landon Collins and Scherff have also come up as targets. The team has some issues at safety and that could make Collins a pick.

Manning had a bad year in 2013 with 27 interceptions, but he had a strong season in 2014 while passing for 4,410 yards and 30 touchdowns, the second highest totals he has ever put up. Manning also completing 63 percent of his passes, which was the best mark of his career. The team likely will not look high for a QB in this draft, but with names like Brett Hundley, Bryce Petty, Garrett Grayson and Shane Carden coming out, someone could slip into the later rounds and could be a target.

Last season the Giants won just six games and now the pressure is on Coughlin and Manning to get the team back to the playoffs. Beckham comes in after making 91 catches, 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games. Manning is coming into the final year of his deal and it comes after another QB from the same class signed an extension with the Steelers re-upping Ben Roethlisberger. The Giants have not made any huge moves in free agency this offseason, but they have signed Shane Vereen and added depth at a number of positions.

According to ESPN.com, the Giants want to sign Pierre-Paul long term, but they are willing to stay with the franchise tag deal on JPP if they need to. The team defense was not great last season and that is why they parted ways with Perry Fewell and brought in Steve Spagnuolo. The Giants ranked fourth worst in the league in yards allowed per game and now Spagnuolo takes over the defense. The Giants have had issues on defense over the past few years and they need JPP to continue playing well after he had a bounce back season in 2014.
