The Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets are playing live on the NBA schedule on Friday and the game is from the Barclays Center in BK as LeBron James and company visit NY and the matchup starts at 7:30 pm ET and has the Cavs looking strong for the playoffs, while the Nets are battling to just make it in this season.

The Cavs come into the game after a win against the Memphis Grizzlies and they next will play at home against the Sixers. The team got a nice win against the Grizzlies and that was an important one down the stretch, as it was a measuring stick win against a strong team from the west. The team got 24 points from Kyrie Irving to lead the way and Kevin Love also had a good game as he starts getting into things for the Cavs.

Love has had a hard time getting integrated into the offense, but he has played much better and that could be the key to the team making a title run. The Cavs come in ranked sixth in the league in scoring this season and the defense is just outside the top 10 in points allowed per game. The Cavs have a three game lead in the division standings over the Bulls and they have played very well over the second half of the season after a slow start.

The Nets come into the game after getting a much needed win over the Charlotte Hornets and they will next play against the Lakers at home on Sunday. The team got 34 points and 10 rebounds from Brook Lopez and they got 14 assists from Deron Williams, who has turned it on as of late. The team has struggled overall and they are 10 games under .500, but in the east they are still alive with a couple more weeks to go in the season.

The Nets have tough games coming up with the Cavs on the schedule and they have lost five of the last six games at home and that means they have to turn it around. The Cavs have been excellent overall, winning four in a row and they have won five of the last six games on the road and that bodes well for the team in this matchup. The team has only lost six times in the last 34 games and they are getting stronger as the season goes on.

James and Irving have been playing great and they can help lead their team to a championship if they keep up this into the playoffs. The Cavs got off to a slow start this season, but they have clicked over the last few months and they are looking like the best in the east even with Atlanta leading the conference.
