Arsenal Transfer News: Fabregas Returning to Arsenal? Yohan Cabaye Links Keep Increasing as Gunners Reportedly Close in on Dentinho

Arsenal are being linked with every Tom, Dick and Harry out there with the latest round of speculations suggesting a monumentally shocking move for Cesc Fabregas, who has apparently fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona, while the rumors about Yohan Cabaye keep increasing with a picture of the Newcastle midfielder and his No 17 shirt reportedly on the Arsenal website.

Theo Walcott has also reportedly intimated his desire to stay at the Emirates, after holding showdown talks with Arsene Wenger at the club's training ground in London Colney. According to reports in Brazil, the Gunners have sealed the signature of highly-rated Brazilian striker Dentinho from Shakhtar Donetsk.

While it is likely that Wenger will bring in a couple of new faces to Arsenal, Fabregas is not going to be one of them - not that he would exactly be a new face. A Marca report stated, new Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova was finding it hard to utilise Fabregas to his fullest, after some lacklustre performances from the former Arsenal captain at the beginning of the season, leading to suggestions that the playmaker could make a sensational return to Arsenal. Whether it is on a season-long loan or a permanent transfer depends on the paper and rumor sites that you read.

Santi Cazorla was brought in to fill the void left by Fabregas, and it will be one of the most surprising moves in recent history, if the Spanish international returns to London this summer.

However, hopes and reports of Cabaye's impending move to the Emirates increased after a picture, where a scroll of players available at Arsenal's website showed Cabaye with the No 17 shirt option, popping up. The likelihood of the picture being real are extremely slim, with Arsenal being very secretive about their transfers and not announcing anything until everything has been signed officially.

While Cabaye would be a very good option, it can be questioned whether Arsenal would be better off signing a more defensive midfielder, with Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere, when he returns, already in their ranks.

The transfer fee of £20 million ($31.6 million) that is being quoted might be another hurdle in sealing the deal for the undoubtedly talented and classy French international.

The rumor mill will not stop till Friday night, when the summer transfer window officially slams shut, and till then all Gooners can hope for a couple more signings that will bring a smile and a sense of excitement yet again.
