Odell Beckham #13 of the New York Giants celebrates his third touchdown of a game against the Washington Redskins with teammates Eli Manning #10 and Rueben Randle #82 on December 14, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Giants defeated the Redskins 24-13."

The NY Giants have Eli Manning coming into the final year of his contract and right now they are comfortable with him playing out his deal with an extension and this comes as the team may look at players like Bryce Petty, Landon Collins, DeVante Parker and Amari Cooper in the draft, as they have a need at safety and with victor Cruz coming back from an injury, they may look at a WR as insurance.

The Giants missed the playoffs last season and after making some low key moves in free agency, the team feels like they can compete in the NFC East. Manning had a bounce back year after having a terrible 2013 season and the Giants appear to be in no rush to sign him to a new deal. According to ESPN New York, the team is "comfortable" letting Manning play out the final year of his contract, although sources have said the two sides could talk again before the season starts.

Manning previously signed an extension after the last Super Bowl and after Ben Roethlisberger got a five-year, $99 million deal this offseason, many wondered if the other top QB in the 2004 class would also get one. Dan Graziano at ESPN writes that just because the team isn't giving Manning an extension, it doesn't mean that he will be going anywhere after 2015. The team may look at drafting someone like Bryce Petty or Garrett Grayson to get a succession plan in place, but Graziano writes that the Giants expect Manning to be with the team long term.

The Giants have Victor Cruz coming back from an injury and according to NFL.com, Tom Coughlin said that there is a chance Cruz could miss the start of the season. Cruz dealt with a serious knee injury last year and the Giants have been preparing for the possibility that he could miss time and that he may not be the same receiver he once was. Amari Cooper and DeVante Parker are potential drat options for the Giants in the first round and they also could look at players in the mid to late rounds, as this year has a deep class of receivers. The Giants also have an issue at safety after Antrel Rolle left and while they have Nat Berhe and other options on the roster, Landon Collins could be a potential target in the draft from Alabama.

Odell Beckham had a breakout season and now the Giants are salivating at the chance to get him and Victor Cruz on the field at the same time. Beckham comes in after making 91 catches, 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games. Giants fans had their outlook on next season totally reversed with the way Beckham performed and now he could be the future face of the franchise after Manning.

Last season the Giants won just six games and now the pressure is on Coughlin and Manning to get the team back to the playoffs. Beckham needs to continue his strong play after what he did last season and after signing players like Shane Vereen and Dwayne Harris to contracts, the team thinks the offense could be even better in 2015 with Ben McAdoo in year two.
