The Aaron Hernandez trial on Tuesday revealed details about the week leading up to the murder of victim Odin Lloyd, with one witness speaking about a night out at a club that included both men, saying that Hernandez looked angry when he and was with the victim at a Boston nightclub in June of 2013, which happened just days before Lloyd turned up dead.
According to ESPN.com, the testimony from Tuesday shed light on a number of details leading up to the murder of Lloyd, including descriptions of Hernandez and Lloyd when they were at a nightclub two days before the murder and also from a Nike expert who spoke about the shoes Hernandez was wearing that night. Kwami Nicholas testified about the night Hernandez and Lloyd were at Rumor nightclub in Boston and he said that Lloyd and a group of friends were at the club from 11 pm that night until it closed at 2 am.
Nicholas testified about how Hernandez was acting that night and he claimed that he saw Hernandez "staring at Lloyd" at one point during the night. He said that Hernandez looked "angry and upset" and he added that later he saw Hernandez "storming out of the club'' and "walking real fast with his head down.'' The defense hammered back at this testimony, saying that Nicholas changed his story from when he originally spoke with police.
Hernandez's attorney Michael Fee showed numerous pieces of video that seemingly contradicted what Nicholas said, including when he saw Hernandez and how he was acting. The attorneys also hit back at Nike consultant Herbert Hedges, who said he could identify the shoes that Hernandez wore the night of the murder. The prosecution tied Hernandez to the murder site where Lloyd was found through shoe prints and also surveillance video.
