The New England Patriots will enter 2015 as the defending Super Bowl champions with the pressure of repeating the success. The team has very rarely made flashy moves in free agency, but this season they are being linked to a few big names that could be a change of pace for the Patriots. Currently having to decide between secondary stars, could New England also be in the market for a big wide receiver?

The Patriots started to shape their free agency plans when they failed to use the franchise tag on Devin McCourty. Most assumed the Patriots would retain the safety at least for the following season, but the team feels comfortable letting him test that market. According to NFL.com's Albert Breer, that is because New England favors retaining Darrelle Revis instead.

The Revis experiment paid off for New England. The team made a big move to acquire the cornerback after a failed year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he did his part all season long. Breer believes New England has every plan to keep Revis around and will continue negotiating a contract with the cornerback. Breer also believes that Revis likes the Patriots and would prefer New England over anywhere else.

ESPN's Adam Schefter writes the New York Jets plan on trying to win Revis over with money, saying they will give him "anything he wants" to return to the team in 2015. Of course Revis enjoyed his time in New York under Rex Ryan and was not happy when the team opted to trade him. However, the Patriots are winning and likely will for a few more years while the Jets are rebuilding. Revis needs to decide which he wants to take part in.

The other move for the Patriots could come at the wide receiver position. The team is being linked to trades for Andre Johnson and Brandon Marshall to help with the rotation including Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell. There is a chance that Danny Amendola could be a salary cap casualty in the coming days and Tom Brady will need one more big down-field threat to throw to. Either player would be a solid option.
