The Miami Heat received a "B" from NBA.com in their assessment of their 2012 offseason. Based on their summer moves, John Schuhmann believes that the Heat organization gave LeBron James the appropriate parts with the money that they had available to place the superstar in the NBA Finals once again.

With the additions of Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis, the Heat have crazy firepower from three-point range. The biggest question is their healthy as both players are reaching the end of their careers.

Allen proved he had something left in the tank despite struggling in the playoffs with two bad ankles.

Their defense will take a toll, but with this team's offensive squad defense will be the least of their worries. Of course, they do not want to become a traditional Mike D'Antoni offense. James and Wade will handle the defensive end though.

A word that gets tossed around when discussing the Heat is "unconventional." Schuhmann points out, traditional thought had the point guard and center as the most crucial parts of the team. However, the 2011-2012 NBA Champions challenged this belief as they performed with Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony at those posts.

Coach Erik Spoelstra found a way to make this team work and guided them to a championship.

Of course, with James' rise as the most dominant player in the year 2012, there is no real answer on how to play against him.

The Heat have placed themselves as the favorite to get out of the Eastern Conference and as some have predicted, only the Los Angeles Lakers stand in their way of capturing the Larry O'Brien trophy once again.
