The Liverpool Reds and Tottenham Spurs are playing on the English Premier League schedule on Tuesday for a mid-week match and the game is from Anfield and starts up at 3 pm ET on the NBC Sports Network and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website as Brendan Rodgers leads his team into action.

Liverpool comes in at seventh on the Premier League table this season and that is a stark difference from where they were last year. The team is on the fringe of making a run to the top four and the way they have performed overall likely keeps them from doing that. Liverpool comes in after a win away in the FA Cup Fourth Round and they matched up with Bolton and now they have Tottenham before Crystal Palace on the EPL schedule.

Liverpool is looking for a fifth straight win against Tottenham and they have only lost once in the last 20 against the Spurs. Both teams are in the mix and they are playing well and that makes this is a significant game for both sides. Liverpool has won the last six games at Anfield and they have not yet lost in 2015.

The Reds pulled a draw away against Everton and now they have the Spurs next on the schedule. Liverpool won at home against West Ham last time out at Anfield and before that they had a fourth round tie with Bolton and that came after a win over Aston Villa. Coming up the team has matchups with Southampton, Manchester City and Burnley and after that they will play against Swansea City and Man United. The tough schedule will make it harder for the team to move up and they also have to deal with a trip to Emirates along with the game at Old Trafford.

Liverpool should have Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling in the lineup and that could be big after they both were banged up on Saturday. The team will be without Lucas, but they will have Adam Lallana, who was dealing with a groin issue. Liverpool and Tottenham have the chance to move up in the league standings with strong runs in the second half and they could get into Champions League contention.

The Reds are getting hot at the right time and they have not been beaten in eight league games and now the team is seventh in the standings. Tottenham is in fifth and they are right there and now they come in after losing just once in the last 12 and that adds even more ot the matchup. Liverpool ended up with a draw in the Merseyside Derby and now they will have to watch out, as Harry Kane comes in with 12 goals and has been playing well in recent stretches.
