Team USA Celebrates, Wins Gold
The U.S. players celebrate victory against Spain after their men's gold medal basketball match at the North Greenwich Arena in London during the London 2012 Olympic Games"

-----Updated---- We figured out what the golden animal was. Read about it here... Identity Revealed

It has been over 12 hours since the USA defeated Spain in the Men's Gold Medal Match and we still have not found out where the gold stuffed alien James harden was possessing on the court is from.

This was the reaction in the live blog we covered yesterday as the U.S. won its gold medal after a 107-100 victory.

Okay, I know Harden has the beard and all. Has his own character, but he has a big stuffed toy on the court during celebration. It is a big, golden, stuffed alien-looking toy.

The cameras went from Coach K, and a few USA stars like  Kobe and Durant, congratulating Pau Gasol on their hard fought battle, to James celebrating with teammates while he was holding a shiny,  stuffed golden creature.

Here is a picture I found on a tumblr post.

It must have been at least three feet tall and it had a face.

Later in the night, people came across the live blog article as they searched the "the gold alien USA team celebrated on court with."

I do not have the answer, but I did find something pretty similar to the gold alien.

James Harden took a stuffed animal similar to the Glu Games logo on to the court during Sunday's post game celebration

It is a logo the presents itself on screen when playing Deer Hunter Challenge on the iPad. This is what it looks like.

I am still not convinced that this is the same creature since Harden's gold alien had legs, but it was the first suspect on my list.
