The Chelsea Blues were active at the transfer window, as they picked up Juan Cuadrado in a move for Jose Mourinho and also saw Andre Schurrle head back to Germany, as he has agreed to a deal with Wolfsburg and now Chelsea will try and keep things going as they lead the EPL table into February following the flurry of deals.

According to Pro Soccer Talk, the 24-year-old Schurrle moved to Germany to play for Wolfsburg and that came after his run with Chelsea. Schurrle moved on a $75 million deal from Bayer two years ago and he was strong for the team in his time, but he had been falling off lately. Schurrle had eight goals that first season and he had just three goals at the time of the move. Schurrle played for Germany in the World Cup and scored three times for the team and now he will be looking to start fresh on a $36 million deal.

Chelsea also picked up Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina on a $40 million and Cuadrado said it was a dream for him to play in the EPL and for Jose Mourinho. The 26-year-old from Colombia now joins the Blues as they try and make a title run this year and they could be even stronger in the second half. Diego Costa has been playing great and the team currently is first in the EPL over Man City with a five point lead.

"The best part about this dream is that I'm going to be part of such a big club. For me that is a huge motivation to perform well," Cuadrado said, according to Pro Soccer Talk. "I'm a quick and positive player and I hope to show that on the field of play and help all of my teammates. It is really going to be brilliant to work with one of the best coaches anywhere in the world. I'm very proud to be playing for him and I think he is going to help me grow into a better player."
