The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are playing in Super Bowl 49 on Sunday and the matchup is live on NBC and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website and it starts at 6:30 pm ET as the Hawks and Pats come in with Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Marshawn Lynch, Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson and Rob Gronkowski ready to battle.
The Patriots come into the game after a win against the Colts in the AFC championship game and they now have the chance to win the fourth Super Bowl with Brady and Belichick. The Patriots come in with some controversy with the deflated ball issue, but they are ready to try and win and they are trying to stop the Seahawks from becoming the first team to repeat since they did it.
The Patriots come in after ranking 10th in the league in passing yards per game and the Seahawks were one of the best against the pass and that should be a good matchup of teams. The Seahawks come in with confidence after winning the Superbowl last year and they were the number one seed in the NFC this year. The Patriots are the number one seed in the AFC and that means the top seeds are in the big game for the first time in a while.
The Patriots won back to back Super Bowls and now they have the chance to stop the Seahawks from doing that. Tom Brady and Belichick have some issues coming into the game with Deflate-gate and they will be looking to put those to bed with a win here. Brady would love to add this to his legacy after making it to his sixth Super Bowl and the Pats come in after losing the past two appearances in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants. The last Super Bowl had the crazy catch from Mario Manningham and that came after the crazy David Tyree catch from when the Pats were 18-0. Brady can stake his claim as potentially the best quarterback of all time with four Super Bowl wins.
The Seahawks come into the game after an amazing NFC championship game against the Packers and they won over the team after being down 16 points at halftime. The Seahawks used an onsides kick and some bad plays from the Packers to come back and now they have the chance to repeat. Russell Wilson comes in after winning the game with a TD pass in overtime and he has the chance to get some legendary status with winning two Super Bowls in a row if he can do that.
