The Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies are playing live on the NBA schedule on Thursday night and the matchup from the FedExForum comes at 8 pm ET on TNT as part of a double header and this has Marc Gasol and Mike Conley leading the Grizz as one of the top teams in the league this year.

The Grizzlies come into the game after a win against the Mavericks and they have been playing very well as of late. The team next plays against the Thunder after the matchup with the Nuggets and they come into the game at 33-12 on the season. The team is first in the tough southwest division and they are leading the Rockets and the Spurs for the time being and have been excellent.

Gasol is playing at an MVP level along with Mike Conley and the Grizzlies are as deep as anyone in the league. The team is ranked third in the league in defense with 97 points allowed per game and they are also in the top 10 in assists per game. The Grizzlies have been scoring more than last season and Gasol is shaping himself up to be an MVP candidate and the top option on the free agent market. The Grizzlies are sleepers in the west this season and could make a title run.

The Nuggets come into the game after a win against the Pelicans and they will next play against the Hornets on the schedule. The team comes in ranked fifth in the league in rebounds per game and 26th in defense. Arron Afflalo is a trade candidate and could get moved at the deadline and he comes in after leading the way with 20 points and against the Pelicans. The team is third in the northwest and the Nuggets come in with a 19-27 record this season.

Zach Randolph is having a great season for the Grizz and he comes in leading the team in rebounding and he had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the win against the Mavs. The team has been getting some strong play from Gasol, while Ty Lawson is leading the Nuggets in scoring and assists per game. The Grizzlies have been even better since getting Jeff Green in a trade and now the team has only lost one game in eight matchups since he came over. The team is one of the best in the west and they have the chance to make a deep run with the way they are playing and Gasol is one of the main reasons why. Expect this team to go far this year in the playoffs.
