Chelsea are far from done in the transfer market. With Victor Moses and Cesar Azpilicueta close to signing for the Blues, Robert Di Matteo has turned his attentions towards a striker, with reports suggesting Edinson Cavani could be a possibility, while the Blues have also put in a bid for Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are ready to pay the German club their asking price of £20 million ($31.2 million) after reportedly seeing an initial offer of £16 million ($25 million) turned down by earlier.

Leverkusen have previously stated their desire to hold onto the talented 21-year-old, with sporting director Rudi Voller saying he was not for sale at any price. However, Schurrle has expressed his interest, to move to a bigger club, in the past and Leverkusen might be tempted to let go of the forward, if a suitable offer was received for a player who cost them only £6.5 million ($10.1 million) from Mainz.

Schurrle is seen by many as one of the most promising youngsters in Germany, and is adept at playing through the center or on the wings. However, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Juan Mata, Marko Marin and the reported imminent arrival of Moses, some fans might question the purchase of Schurrle, who is  more of a forward capable of playing wide in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation, than an established central striker, although his talent is undoubted.

Chelsea are still without a reliable back-up forward for Fernando Torres, and the likes of Cavani would provide the Blues the perfect complement of forwards. The European champions are also reportedly looking at the possibility of bringing in Fernando Llorente, after the Spanish international, who has just one year remaining on his contract with Athletic Bilbao, failed to agree to a new deal.

If either or all of those signings come into fruition, Chelsea will definitely have one of the most formidable attacking line-ups in Europe, if they don't have it already that is.

With Chelsea currently flush with midfielders, Raul Meireles is reportedly interesting Napoli, and could be used as a makeweight in a deal involving Cavani coming to Stamfiord Bridge.

Meanwhile, a striker on his way out of Stamford Bridge is Romelu Lukaku after the youngster's agent admitted his client was close to agreeing to a season-long loan deal to an English Premier League club. Lukaku's agent Christophe Henrotay, however, denied the club was Fulham. "I can assure you that Romelu is not going to Fulham," Henrotay told reporters. "I am currently finalising the details with another Premier League club.

"Romelu will go on loan. I cannot say which team he will join, or when it will happen, but things are progressing."

Stoke City and Sunderland have also been previously linked with a move for the 19-year-old, with West Bromwich Albion also believed to be in the mix.
