The New York Giants may cut veteran players like Mathias Kiwanuka and Jon Beason this offseason as they try and keep Jason Pierre-Paul in free agency and if he returns, the team could look at a player like Landon Collins in the draft, while Antrel Rolle, CJ Spiller, Eddie Royal, Mark Ingram and Bryan Bulaga are potential free agent targets.

Dan Graziano at ESPN.com writes that Kiwanuka is the most likely player to get cut this offseason, as he is getting paid nearly $5 million and has not played up to expectations. Keeping Pierre-Paul is a priority for the Giants, but they may not break the bank to sign him. According to ESPN New York, owner John Mara said that the team would consider using the franchise tag on JPP if they can't work out a long term deal.

The team may look at upgrading on the offensive line and Graziano mentioned Bulaga as a potential target. Rolle likely would have to come back with a pay cut and if he doesn't return, Big Blue View writes that the team could consider targeting Alabama safety Landon Collins with their top 10 pick in the NFL draft. The Giants are coming off of a 6-10 season and they missed the playoffs for the third straight season after winning the Super Bowl.

The Giants defense was inconsistent this season and that is why they replaced coordinator Perry Fewell with Steve Spagnuolo. Fewell won a Super Bowl with the team, but the defense has not played up to expectations over the past few years and that forced Tom Coughlin to make a change. Spagnuolo returns for a second go around with the Giants and this comes after he helped the team defeat the 18-0 Giants in the Super Bowl.

Odell Beckham emerged as a superstar and he is one reason why there is hope for the future for the Giants. Beckham reaffirmed Jerry Reese as a talented evaluator and it made the Giants season have a different feel to it despite the losing record and missing the playoffs. That different feel may have helped Coughlin keep his job and moving forward now the team is hoping Beckham can stay healthy with Victor Cruz coming back from a serious injury. Beckham had 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns this season as a rookie in just 12 games and he showed that he can be a number one target for Eli Manning.

Beckham played in the Pro Bowl and revealed that he had been playing with hamstring issues all year, which begs the question: what can this guy do when fully healthy? Beckham gives Manning and the Giants a dynamic option in the offense and with Ben McAdoo taking over and moving into year two, the new scheme has the chance to be even better. Manning had a rebound season after throwing 27 interceptions in 2013, as he had 30 touchdowns and threw for 4400 yards, his highest totals in multiple seasons.
