The NFL playoffs standings are nearly set in the NFC and AFC with division winners and leaders clinching spots on Sunday along with Wild Card teams in Week 16 and now there will be showdowns in Week 17 for postseason spots, with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions battling for the NFC North and the Falcons hosting the Panthers to see who wins the NFC South.

Last week the Patriots, Colts and Broncos all clinched division titles and on Sunday the Cowboys did that with the NFC East, locking things up over the Eagles. The Lions and Packers clinched playoff spots along with the Cardinals and the Seahawks and now the seeding will take shape into next week when the final spots will be set. The Steelers clinched a playoff spot with their win and now teams like the Ravens and the Eagles need other teams to lose to stay alive and get in.

The NFC East has the Cowboys in, while the NFC North will be decided next week along with the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons. The Seahawks and Cardinals are there in the west, while the AFC East has the Patriots in once again. The Bengals have the chance to win the AFC North division, while the South is to the Colts and the west is to the Broncos. The Bengals and Broncos play on Monday night football, while the Patriots have a first round bye.

The Chargers are in the sixth playoff spot ahead of the Ravens and next week will decide that spot along with the final seeds in the AFC. The Steelers are in and the Colts are fourth right now with 10 wins as the south division champions. The Buffalo Bills are out of the playoffs race, while the Texans stayed alive with the win over the Ravens. The Chargers won in a comeback game against the 49ers, while the Dolphins survived a wild game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Cowboys shocked the Colts on Sunday with a 42-7 win, while the Patriots pulled out another close matchup with the Jets. The Steelers won over the Chiefs, while the Lions defeated the Bears and the Panthers outlasted the Browns. The Raiders got a win over the Bills, while the Giants may have saved Tom Coughlin's job with their win against the Rams.
