The NY Knicks and Toronto Raptors are playing live on the NBA schedule on Sunday in New York and the game from Madison Square Garden has the Knicks looking to get something positive going against an Atlantic division rival as this season has been tough for Carmelo Anthony and now they have Kyle Lowry and the dinos coming to town and things start past 7:30 pm ET.
The Knicks come into the game after a rare win and now they are 5-25 on the season and they will play against the Mavericks next after the game against the Raptors. The Knicks got 22 points from Carmelo in the last game against the Celtics and they currently are ranked 27th in the league in scoring on offense this season. the team is 29th in rebounds per game and 15th in points allowed per game and they go up against a 17-6 Raptors team.
Toronto is playing very well this season and they are a team to watch moving forward, as they are looking to win the division for the second straight season. The Raptors have as much talent as anyone and the Knicks wish they were in that position right now, as things are not looking good this year. The press has the knives out and Anthony has been mentioned in trade talk already, but he has pushed back against that after reports came out about his future plans.
The Knicks snapped a 10 game losing streak with the win against the Celtics and now they play against the Raptors and this comes after Toronto won over Indiana. The team next plays against the Magic and that should be an easy game and they come in ranking second in the league in points per game this season. The team is ranked 18th in points allowed and they have been strong overall to start the season.
The Cavaliers and the Bulls are the favorites in the east, but the Raptors will not be an easy out no matter how things turn out. The team has the chance to win their second title in the division and all of a sudden they look like the only team in the division worth a look, even more than the Nets.
