NCAA Football Bowl Schedule 2014: College Playoff Semifinal Games Set For Championship

The NCAA Football Bowl schedule for the 2014 season is set and the playoff semifinal games will be on January 1 with Oregon playing Florida State and Alabama matching up with Ohio State to see who will play for the national championship later in the month.

The first College Football Playoff has Oregon taking on Florida State in the Rose Bowl, while the number one Alabama Crimson Tide play against the fourth ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the Sugar Bowl. The schedule that day also will have the Outback Bowl with Auburn and Wisconsin, while Michigan State and Baylor play in the Cotton Bowl game.

The Rose Bowl will be at 5 pm ET from Pasadena and the Ducks will be favored over the undefeated Seminoles, who are ranked third in the nation. The Crimson Tide are considered to be the top team in the nation and they will play in the Sugar Bowl against Ohio State for the other semifinal matchup. The previous day will also have some big games, with Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arizona all in action.
