Denver Broncos Rumors: Julius Thomas Return Helps Peyton Manning After Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas Struggle, CJ Anderson Injury Not Issue Week 15

The passing game for the Denver Broncos was simply off in the win over the Buffalo Bills. Quarterback Peyton Manning saw his touchdown streak end at 51 games while no one appeared on the same page throughout the game. With injuries plaguing the offensive unit, head coach John Fox is downplaying any issues in the offense. However, getting players back for Week 15 should help set things straight for the final push of the season.

After sitting out time with an ankle injury, Julius Thomas told the media that he expects to play this Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. According to the Denver Post, Thomas could have played and been healthy for the game against the Bills, but the coaching staff opted to keep him out which might have been one of the issues the passing game faced.

A lot has been made regarding Manning over the past two days as some wonder if father time is beginning to show himself with the quarterback. Fox denies that the quarterback is losing steam just because he did not throw a touchdown pass in one game.

"I can't think of another quarterback I'd rather have than Peyton Manning," Fox said, via the Denver Post. "I would remind everybody that whether it's two weeks or three weeks, at the end of the day, we're not done with our body of work yet. We're just trying to win games. We've been blessed. We've won three in a row. We'll lean on whatever we have to lean on. So our passing game is fine. You never know. We might put our foot on the gas and throw it 50 times. I can't really predict what's going to happen because a lot of it's based on what an opponent does and matchups."

The Broncos continue to benefit from a strong run game that is easing the pressure for Manning. CJ Anderson continues to cement himself as one of the best young runners in the league. The undrafted free agent has excelled in place of the injured Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman. The Broncos will continue to rely heavily on the run game as they ease Thomas back into the mix with Manning and company.
