The St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks are playing live on the NHL schedule on Wednesday night and the matchup from the NBC Sports Network and the NBCSN Live Extra website is on at 8 pm ET from the United Center and has two top teams in the west battling as the central division rivals meet with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews hosting.

The Blackhawks come into the game just behind the Blues, as they are third in the division with 15 wins and 31 points on the season. The team comes in after getting some revenge on the road, as they won over the LA Kings and that came after the two teams matched up in the west finals last season. The Hawks won the Cup the year before that and they will be looking for a return. The team has the Blues and then they will host the Canadiens in an Original Six matchup.

The team comes into the game at eighth in goals per game and they are second in goals against and they had to do some of that without Corey Crawford. The team is as deep as anyone and they are ranked first in the league in penalty kill percentage this season as well. Kane is leading the team in goals and points this season, while Marian Hossa is first in assists. Victor Tarasenko has been one of the stars of the league this season and he is leading STL in scoring in points and goals this season.

Martin Brodeur was just signed by the Blues and he could see some action, while Jake Allen will be in for the game against the Blackhawks. The team has not won in five chances against Chicago and three of those came last year in the playoffs and now they are looking for some revenge as well. The Blackhawks are playing some good hockey and they come in after going 5-1 on their road trip and they have now won three games in a row coming back home for this game. Brian Elliot is out for the Blues in net and Antti Raanta will be in net over Crawford, who has been dealing with an injury all season. Raanta has played well and he is the top goalie for the team right now.

The Blues come into the game at first in the central division and they have 16 wins on the season and they come in after a win against the Minnesota Wild. The team will next play against the Nashville Predators and they are ranked third in the league in goals against and fifth in power play percentage. This rivalry matchup will be on TV from NBC.
