The NCAA football bowl schedule is coming up and right now all the talk is about the College Football Playoff and the projections right now have Alabama, Oregon, TCU and Florida State in and they will play for the national championship, while the rest of the bowl games are still up in the air until the championship games and final rankings are completed.

Alabama is in as the number one team right now and they have the SEC championship coming up against Missouri on Saturday. Oregon comes in as the number two team and they have the Pac-12 championship to play and that will be against Arizona on Friday. Arizona comes in at number seven, while TCU finishes their season against Iowa State and that could lead to the team winning or sharing the Big 12 title over Baylor.

Florida State comes in at number four despite being undefeated, but they have not looked good against some bad opponents and that is why they are at number four. Jameis Winston has not been having a great season compared to last year and he has been busy this week while dealing with a hearing for his involvement in an alleged sexual assault against another student a couple years ago. FSU comes in as defending champions and they currently will matchup against Alabama if the rankings hold.

Florida State and Alabama is a top matchup and that would be great to see after FSU won the title last season and Alabama won the year before. No matter what happens, someone is going to be mad and that likely will be Baylor along with Ohio State. The games at stake coming up include the Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl and Rose Bowl as well as the Sugar Bowl and those latter two games will be part of the playoff. Teams are angling to get into those other spots and teams like Mississippi State, Kansas State, Baylor, Arizona and others could be in position to make it.

The current projections has the top four followed by Ohio State at number five and Baylor, Arizona, Michigan State, Kansas State and Mississippi State. This week the championship games will go down and that will set things and the first one to go is Friday for the Pac-12 championship. The college football season has been a wild one and now the final weekend comes ahead of the first playoff. Baylor ends with Kansas State and that is a chance for a statement game, as the committee has Baylor behind TCU despite the win in the head to head matchup, which has made quite a few people mad.
