The Vancouver Canucks and Washington Capitals are playing on the NHL schedule on Tuesday night and the matchup from the Verizon Center starts up past 7 pm ET and has Ryan Miller taking on the Caps and Alex Ovechkin and it has one of the best teams against one of the most disappointing to start this season in the league this year.

The Canucks come into the game after a loss against the Red Wings and they next will play against the Penguins and that will be on the road. That matchup has two of the best teams in the league going at it and right now the Canucks are second in the Pacific division. The team has played very well and they have 33 points on the season, including 16 wins and they are going up against a Cap team that has just 10 wins this season.

Ryan Miller has played very well and he comes in with some strong performances as the new goalie, while the team is ranked fourth in goals per game. The Canucks come in at 17th in power play percentage and 10th in penalty kill percentage and the Capitals are looking for a nice victory here at home against a good team. Henrik Sedin is leading the team in scoring on points this year and his brother Daniel is tops in goals as things move on.

Alex Ovechkin is leading the Caps in goals and Nick Backstrom is tops in assists and points overall for the team. The Canucks are looking to get off to a fast start and they have been historically good in recent years against the Caps and now they are looking to do it again. Miller comes in after making 25 saves on Sunday and before that he had a shutout against the Blue Jackets and now he gets another chance in net, while Sedin comes in playing and he has three assists in seven games here in DC.

The Capitals come into the game ranked 11th in scoring and they are second in the league in power play percentage. The team is fourth in the Metro and they are coming in after a loss against the Maple Leafs. The team next plays against the Carolina Hurricanes and they come in ranked 19th in the league in goals against this season so far. The Canucks are looking to stay hot and they have one of the tougher divisions in the league and now Miller and company will try and keep it going as the hit the east coast for some hard games against two of the best players in Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby.
