The OKC Thunder will get back Kevin Durant on Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans and this will be his season debut after fracturing his foot earlier in the summer and he said that he was excited to get back out on the court.

According to ESPN.com, Durant will make his debut against the Pelicans and it comes after he had surgery in October on his foot. Durant was able to return to practice last week, while Russell Westbrook has already made his return to the lineup after being injured.

"Just excited to get back out there with my teammates," Durant said Tuesday. "It's been a long six and a half weeks just trying to get better and get my foot right. The training staff did a great job, so I'm just looking forward to playing tonight.

Although the Thunder are currently down in the western conference standings, it wasn't unexpected for the team after the injuries and now they feel they have enough time to dig out of it. The west is much tougher than the eastern conference, but getting back Durant and Westbrook completely changes the makeup of the Thunder roster. The team had been dealing with a ton of injuries and that allowed Serge Ibaka and Reggie Jackson to take over as the majority of the offense.

Westbrook suffered a fracture in his hand in the second game of the season and was out since then and his diagnosis was for four to six weeks. Westbrook recently returned. Durant has been out for the entire season and that came after he suffered a fracture in his foot while working out in practice and that came ahead of an injury to Westbrook.
