Quarterback Peyton Manning #18 of the Denver Broncos hands off to running back C.J. Anderson #22 during a game against the Miami Dolphins at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on November 23, 2014 in Denver, Colorado."

The Denver Broncos have CJ Anderson as the main start option at RB in Week 14, as Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball are dealing with injuries and along with Juwan Thompson, Anderson is the best pick for fantasy owners, as Peyton Manning plans on using the running game again to open things up for Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders on Sunday.

Anderson is the best start option for the Broncos, as he has shown over the past few weeks that he is an explosive runner and a solid receiver. Anderson had 167 yards on the ground last week on 27 carries and he also added a touchdown in the matchup. Anderson put up nearly 200 yards total in the matchup last week and with both Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball sidelined, he will be the top rusher again. Peyton Manning needs the running game to be consistent, as he can't throw 50 times in a game each week and expect to be totally healthy for the playoffs.

The Broncos were happy with the way Hillman came in for Ball after the groin injury Ball sustained earlier in the season and now both are expected to be out. Hillman is not practicing this week with a foot injury, while Ball is dealing with the re-aggravation of his groin injury. Anderson has played well in his opportunities this season and he has the chance to start with the injuries coming down for the Broncos. The team knows that Peyton Manning cannot continue to throw so much and that should give Anderson and the other backs the opportunity to put up numbers.

Anderson had nearly 200 yards in the last game for the Broncos and that was big and that came after he had 115 total yards against the Rams. This is a huge game against the Chiefs for the Broncos and Anderson should see plenty of work. Anderson had 167 yards on the ground with a TD against the Dolphins and he also added four catches. Anderson is an explosive back and he has shown that he has great hands as well.
