NFL Results: Seattle Seahawks Win Over San Francisco 49ers On Thanksgiving For NFC Playoffs Advantage

The Seattle Seahawks won against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night on the Thanksgiving Day schedule by the score of 19-3 and this gives the Seahawks the advantage in the NFC playoffs picture this season.

Richard Sherman had two interceptions in the game and Russell Wilson also had another strong performance as the team improved to 8-4 on the season. The Niners and Seahawks were tied coming into this game and now the teams will matchup again in two weeks in Seattle. The Seahawks scored first with a touchdown pass to Robert Turbin from Wilson and the defense held up before they added another field goal.

The Seahawks dominated in the first half but only went up 13-0 coming into the third quarter and they continued to stifle the Niners offense. The team added another field goal before the Niners finally converted one of their own and that left things at 16-3 heading into the fourth quarter. The Seahawks added another field goal and Sherman had his second interception in the fourth quarter and that was enough to keep the Niners down.

The Seahawks came into the game ranked first in rushing yards per game and they were ranked in the top 10 in rushing and passing yards allowed per game on defense. Wilson threw for over 230 yards and had a touchdown and he also used his legs and rushed for over 20 yards. Marshawn Lynch had another 100-yard game and he has been hot over the last few weeks.
