The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are playing on the NFL Thanksgiving Day schedule for the night matchup on NBC and the game from Levi's Stadium starts at 8:30 pm ET and will be streaming live on the NBC Sports Network Live Extra website as Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore face off.

The Seahawks come into the game after a divisional win against the Arizona Cardinals and now they play another NFC West game with the Niners. The Seahawks are 7-4 on the season and they are tied with the 49ers at second in the division, while the Cardinals are in first place and they are in control of their destiny in the west. The team plays on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles next and they come in as the top rushing team in the league.

The Seahawks defense comes in ranked in the top 10 in defense in yards allowed per game, with the secondary ranking third in passing yards allowed per game. The defense is sixth in rushing yards allowed per game, while the offense is third to last in the league in passing yards per game. The 49ers come in after a close win against the Redskins and they next will play against the Oakland Raiders on the road in the battle for Northern California.

The Niners are ranked second in the league in defense against the pass and they are also in the top 10 against the run. Both these defenses are strong up front and the passing games could be what decides this matchup. Kapernick comes in after passing for over 150 yards last week, while Anquan Boldin had a huge game with 137 yards against the Redskins. The Niners have won three straight games and that came after two straight losses and now they have won six of the last eight games.

The Niners end the season with the Seahawks on the schedule twice and the team is basically home for the entire last stretch of the year. Since playing the Giants on the road in Week 11, the team has been home for two weeks and then will play against the Raiders and the Seahawks on the road. The team ends the season at home with matchups against the San Diego Chargers and Arizona Cardinals and this game could help decide which of these two teams makes the playoffs.
