Jimmy Butler has basically been the MVP for the Bulls, as he has been playing the most minutes and is also leading the team in scoring.

The team got 25 points from Butler and five assists from Rose in the win over the Jazz, while Pau Gasol had nine rebounds in the matchup. The team next plays against the Celtics and they come into things ranked 16^th in points per game and 12^th in points allowed per game. The team is now 9-5 on the season and they are first in the central division and they are matching up with the Nuggets, who are 6-7 on the season.

The Bulls are happy to have Rose back and they have been dealing with a number of injuries, including to Taj Gibson and Kirk Hinrich. The team needs Rose to be on the floor to win this year overall and he has been in and out while dealing with various ailments. Rose has missed the last couple seasons with injuries and he is hoping that he can make it through to the playoffs this time.

The Nuggets come into the game after a win against the Lakers in overtime and they will play against the Suns next after the matchup with the Bulls. The team is 26^th in defense, but they have played well on offense and are 10^th in points per game and seventh in rebounds per game. The Bulls are looking to keep things going on this road trip and they now matchup with the Nuggets and they have to deal with Faried, who has the team seventh in rebounding.
