The Detroit Lions and New England Patriots are playing live on the Week 12 NFL schedule and the game is live from Gillette Stadium as the top defense meets Tom Brady and the game will be on CBS starting up at 1 pm ET and comes as the Pats are as hot as anyone in the league.

The Patriots come into the game on a winning streak and they defeated the Colts on Sunday night football and now they will have the Lions before another tough matchup with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The matchup with the Packers could be an early Super Bowl preview, as both teams are coming in hot and are favorites in their respective conferences. The Patriots host this matchup and they will travel to play at Lambeau Field next week and it comes after they dominated against the Colts. Jonas Gray rushed for 200 yards in that game and four TDs and now Tom Brady and the Pats will have to deal with one of the best defenses in the league.

The Patriots are ranked in the top 10 of the league in passing yards per game this season and they are in the top half of the league in rushing yards per game on offense. Since losing badly to the Chiefs earlier in the season, the team has won six straight and they now have games against playoff teams and playoff contenders coming up. The team plays the Lions and then they will have matchups with the Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers before matching up with the Miami Dolphins.

The Patriots end the season with the Dolphins, Jets and Bills in divisional games and they likely will be the winners of the AFC East once again. The Lions are 7-3 on the season and they come in after a loss against the Arizona Cardinals and they now have this game with the Pats before playing the Chicago Bears. The team has the top ranked rushing defense and they are fifth in the league in passing yards per game allowed this year.

The Lions come in after a loss, but they have won four of the last five games and they are in position to make the playoffs in the NFC. The Lions are 7-3 this season and first in their division and they finish the season with four divisional games in the final five weeks, including two matchups with the Chicago Bears. The team has the Bears and then the Buccaneers before a matchup with the Vikings and they end the season with two games on the road against the Bears and the Packers.
