Chelsea and West Brom are playing live on the English Premier League schedule on Saturday after the international break and the matchup from Stamford Bridge starts up on NBC Sports Network and the NBCSN Live Extra website at 10 am ET for Jose Mourinho as his team leads the EPL standings and the Blues have yet to lose this year.
Diego Costa will be on the pitch after sitting out of the international break and Mourinho was thrilled to see him do that along with Cesc Fabregas and while Spain was pissed, the Blues are trying to win the EPL. Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle also will play after dealing with an illness and with the way Chelsea is performing, they should not end up losing this game at home.
The team has been dominant at Stamford Bridge and they currently are leading the EPL table. Fabregas was dealing with a hamstring injury and he will be ready to go and Costa also had time to rest and he really has been the key for the Blues this season. West Brom will be getting some players back after the break and the team is hoping they can put together a great performance on the road.
The team has not won here in decades and they nearly won last year in the matchup, but Chelsea was able to pull it out and now they will matchup again. The team previously played against QPR and they are still unbeaten through the schedule and that has been very impressive and they are looking to stay clean on the standings for the first 12 games of the season. Chelsea last won away against Liverpool on the EPL schedule and before that they had a 2-1 score in that game and now they have West Brom before playing away against Sunderland.
Chelsea is first on the Premier League table standings and they have 29 points this year and they have won nine of their first 11 games. The team has played well and they have the most goals in the league right now and the Blues look like the best team in the EPL. Chelsea last won against QPR and they had a draw against Man United before that and they will have West Brom coming up before playing Schalke 04 and that comes ahead of games against Tottenham and Newcastle.
Chelsea has the advantage against West Brom over the past stretch of games and they come in with a four point lead over Southampton and they will be in first place now matter what happens on Saturday. Chelsea has the big advantage over the team at home and they have taken care of business, winning those matches, but the past two years they drew twice and split the series during the season, but the Blues have been the winners at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has kept clean sheets at Stamford Bridge this season, giving up five goals overall and West Brom comes in having won just one league game in the last five chances. Chelsea has put together a very strong season and they have put up the third best run on points in the first 11 games this season. Chelsea has been very strong and they are the team to beat this year.
