Alex Smith #11 drops back to Jamaal Charles #25 of the Kansas City Chiefs for a run play against the Seattle Seahawks during the game at Arrowhead Stadium on November 16, 2014 in Kansas City, Missouri. "

The fantasy football Week 12 schedule starts Thursday and some start or sit options for the Chiefs against the Raiders include Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis, Travis Kelce, Alex Smith, Dwayne Bowe and De'Anthony Thomas, as those names have the chance to step up and score points for owners against Oakland to open the matchups this week.

Jamaal Charles is obviously a hard START option against a team like the Raiders, but for owners in need of some extra support, Davis also could be worth starting. Last week Davis had just five rushes for 10 yards, but he did score a touchdown and that was big for anyone starting him and he could vulture another TD on Thursday night. Charles will get the heavy workload, but against a team like the Raiders it's likely the Chiefs rush it a ton and that could spill over onto Davis. Travis Kelce is also a START pick.

Charles is the best fantasy RB in the league and he has put up great numbers again this season and he likely will do that against the Raiders. The team is winless this season, while KC comes in at 7-3 and they have some momentum on their side after a big win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11. This season Davis has 421 yards and five TDs and he also has added 11 catches for 65 yards and is a solid option in deeper leagues.

Charles has been healthy since his early season injuries, but for smart fantasy owners they will keep Davis handcuffed just in case. Last week Charles had another fantastic game with 20 carries for 159 yards and he has continued to shine this season. Over the last six games Charles has averaged over five yards per carry and he will be one of the best rated running backs this week against a crappy Raiders defense. This season Charles has nearly 700 yards rushing and eight touchdowns and he has been strong out of the backfield with 22 catches for 148 yards.

Last season Charles led the team in receptions and while he is not on that track this year, he has put up some great numbers over this last stretch. Charles only has one 100-yard rushing game this season, but over the past seven games he has had at least 15 touches in each game and he has not been less than 70 total yards in any matchup. Charles produces and he should do the same for the Chiefs on Thursday night.

Dwayne Bowe has been solid for the Chiefs, but none of their WRs are worth a WR1 since they rush the ball so much and he comes in without scoring a TD yet this season. Bowe has 41 catches for 509 yards this season and he comes in after putting up two catches for 18 yards against the Seahawks. Bowe was better against the Bills with eight for 93 yards and in his previous three games before last week he had 20 catches in that span. Smith had a quiet game last week, but he is worth a START against a bad Raiders team and he could end up having a great game on Thursday night.
