The New Jersey Devils and Boston Bruins are playing live on the NHL schedule on Monday and the game from the TD Garden starts up at 7 pm ET and has NJ coming in with Cory Schneider up against Zdeno Chara and company in Beantown and the B's come in after a nice win over the Oilers and they are looking to put some solid play together.

The Bruins are fourth in the Atlantic division this season and they have an Original Six matchup coming after the Devils with the Toronto Maple Leafs. That game will be up in Canada for a division matchup and the Bruins are looking to get things going, as they have 18 points and are considered to be one of the best teams in the east.

The Bruins are ranked in the top 10 in goals per game this season and eighth in power play percentage and they are in the top half of the league in penalty kill percentage and goals against. The Bruins have center David Krejci out for the matchup and Brad Marchand come in leading the team in scoring in the early part of the season. The Devils come into the game after a loss against the Redskins and they will play against the Bruins before a home matchup with the Wild, who have been very good defensively this season.

The Devils are ranked in the top 15 in goals per game and in power play percentage, but they are in the bottom half of the league in goals against and penalty kill percentage. Jaromir Jagr is leading the team in scoring and now the Devils have been getting beaten up a bit as they have lost three games in a row after winning their last two before that. The Bruins come in hot and they have won four games in a row and six of the past eight and that gives them some momentum for the first matchup with the Devils this season.

Tuukka Rask has played very well this season and he is 5-1 over the last six games and that will make him tough to beat. The Bruins have been dealing with injuries, but Marchand has made up for it and he has a four game point streak coming into this matchup and he has scored four goals in that time along with three assists. The Bruins and Devils will play three times this season and the NJ goalie in Schneider has started 14 straight games and he has been a workhorse for the team.
