LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers waves to the crowd as he leaves the court following the Cavaliers' 107-98 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on October 20, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio."

The NY Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers are playing live on the NBA schedule on Thursday and the game is on the radio streaming online as LeBron James kicks off his season against Carmelo Anthony the Knicks and they are travelling from New York after losing to the Chicago Bulls and this matchup starts at 8 pm ET from Quicken Loans Arena for the game.

Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and James will get their first real taste of playing together and this is the biggest game of the opening week. James is back after signing a free agent deal with the Cavaliers and that was huge for the franchise and now they have a Big 3 ready to go for this matchup against the Knicks. The Cavaliers made the two biggest moves of the offseason with Kevin Love and LeBron and now they are hoping that things click early with the new Big 3.

The team has the Knicks and then they will play against the Chicago Bulls and that is the first road matchup for the team this season. The Knicks come in after a bad loss to those Bulls and now they have to travel to see LeBron in his first game back in Cleveland. LeBron is bringing back the chalk toss and the Cavs easily should win more games than last season, as they had 33 wins and were bad all year and now all that has changed.

The Knicks won just 37 games last season and started out by winning just three of their first 16 games and now they could lose their first two to two of the best teams in the east. The game is big for the Knicks, as they would at least like to play well even if they don't win. The triangle was a dud to start and Carmelo only had 14 points and the team was a mess and now they have to play for a couple weeks without Jose Calderon. The team acquired him in a trade and he was expected to be the starter and now he will be out for a bit.

Calderon is dealing with a calf injury and that is the first rough challenge for Derek Fisher and company. The Knicks are ready to build and they want to be what the Cavs are and right now they have Melo and they are hoping to add more next summer. This is one of the most anticipated matchups of the season and everyone who is a fan of the NBA has been waiting to see LeBron James come back home for this matchup and the fans should be crazy.
