The Thursday night football schedule picks up on TV for Week 9 from the NFL Network after weeks of games on CBS and the matchup has the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers playing from Bank of America Stadium and this is an NFC South division matchup and these two teams are the ones battling for it, as the Falcons and Buccaneers have not been good this year.

The Saints and the Panthers are the top teams in the division and they have two very good quarterbacks coming into this game in Drew Brees and Cam Newton. The Panthers come into the game after a loss against the Seahawks, while the Saints come in after a win against the Packers. The teams now face off and this could be very big come the end of the season and playoff positioning and the division, which is what went down last year.

The Panthers have the Eagles next after this game and they come in with three wins and a tie on the season along with four losses and both these teams are still alive for the division. DeAngelo Williams is coming back for the Panthers and they now have not won in three weeks and have lost two games in a row since their tie with the Bengals.

The team won two straight to open the season before losing two straight and now they are trying to bounce back after not winning since back in Week 5 against the Bears. The Saints defense has been shredded for most of the season and now the two teams meet up before a return trip to New Orleans later in the year.
