The San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals are playing live for the 2014 World Series on Tuesday night and the Game 6 matchup is on FOX at 8 pm ET and streaming online from Fox Sports Go as the Giants have a 3-2 series lead and the pitching matchup has Jake Peavy and Yordano Ventura after Madison Bumgarner once again was excellent and the Giants can win the championship in Kauffman Stadium tonight.

The Giants have been in this position before and now they have to try and close things out against a Royals team that may not have tomorrow to play for. A seven game series would be very exciting, but the Giants do not want to give the Royals any sense of hope and this time the team may not give Peavy such a long rope. Last time out in KC Peavy was great until he wasn't and based on his past performances, the Giants left him out there one inning too many and they lost that game.

Madison Bumgarner could pitch a bit in Game 7 if it gets to that, but the Giants are hoping to avoid that at all costs and a win here obviously would seal things. The Giants took a 3-2 lead and the heavy majority of the time the winner of Game 5 takes the series and now the Giants are trying to do that. The Royals came into the World Series having won eight straight games and now they have to win to stay alive against the Giants. KC will be if the team can pull things out and amazingly eight of the last 10 teams to go down 3-2 in the series coming back home have won games six and seven. But those teams were not playing the Giants.

The Giants seemingly find ways to win and that was shown in the Brandon Belt bunt in Game 5 that eventually led to the winning run for San Fran. The Royals steal bases like it's nobody's business, but the team has not been on base enough and they were totally shutdown by Bumgarner. The Giants have actually said that Madison could get back into the series in Game 6, as he could be an option out of the bullpen depending on how the game plays out.

Bumgarner threw over 110 pitches in his shutout in the last game and that gave the bullpen a full break and that may give the Giants an advantage in this matchup. Peavy won the world Series last year with Boston and now he matches up with a rookie. Bumgarner has an amazing record in World Series play, going 2-0 with a 0.29 ERA which is just ridiculous.

The World Series has been back and forth this year and while the ratings have not been off the charts, the series has been a good one. The two wild card teams made it to the World Series and now they are down to the final two games. A win by the Royals forces a winner take all game on Wednesday and that would be massive for KC after going up 2-1 in the series and then losing the next two games.
