English Premier League Table: Chelsea Leads EPL Standings Over Man City, Southampton, Arsenal

The Barclays English Premier League table has Chelsea leading the way in the EPL standings over Southampton, Manchester City, West Ham and Arsenal, while Swansea City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Hull City and Tottenham are next in the standings to round out the top 10 on the table heading into the schedule next week.

Chelsea remains atop the Premier League standings and they have continued to play well and they ended up with a draw against Man United this weekend at Old Trafford. The team now is four points up on Southampton and they are first with 23 points and they have the most wins this season with seven and they also remain the top scoring team in the league. Chelsea and Southampton are now tied on goal differential, but Chelsea has the better record and is in first.

The schedule this week saw a draw between Chelsea and Man United and that came after the early game, which had West Ham and Man City. West Ham won over Man City, while Arsenal won away against Sunderland and Southampton also won. Swansea won, while Liverpool and Hull City played a scoreless draw and Newcastle won over Tottenham, while Everton won over Burnley.

The league standings has Chelsea has the top team in the Premier League and behind them is a strong group with Southampton, Man City and West Ham, while Arsenal is back in the top five now. Swansea has stayed up there for the beginning of the season, while Liverpool and Man United are there in the middle with Everton and Hull City. Many teams in the middle are separated by just a couple points and that will make things interesting moving forward.

The bottom part of the standings has Stoke City ahead of West Brom, while Newcastle and Aston Villa are next ahead of Crystal Palace. The bottom has Aston Villa, Crystal ahead of Leicester, while Sunderland, Burnley and QPR are at the bottom. The schedule next week has some big games, including Newcastle hosting Liverpool, while Arsenal will be hosting Burnley and that could be some points.

Everton and Swansea City are playing, while Man City and Man United are playing the early match on Sunday. Chelsea plays against QPR at Stamford Bridge in a matchup of first and last place teams currently and Stoke City plays West Ham, while Crystal Palace and Sunderland face off. The English Premier League has been off to a fast start and Chelsea has been by far the best team in the league for the start of the season.
