Janoris Jenkins #21 of the St. Louis Rams breaks up a pass intended for Doug Baldwin #89 of the Seattle Seahawks in the third quarter at the Edward Jones Dome on October 19, 2014 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Rams beat the Seahawks 28-26. "

The Seattle Seahawks have Doug Baldwin as the best start option for fantasy football owners and quarterback Russell Wilson, as he is now the number one option with Percy Harvin traded to the Jets and he could be a solid pickup along with Jermaine Kearse, Paul Richardson and Ricardo Lockette as the Week 8 schedule picks up for the team.

The Seahawks are coming off of a loss and they are dealing with some issues, but the offense has the chance to come back in a big way, as they showed some strength late against the Rams despite losing. Wilson is dynamic and Baldwin showed last week he has no issues being the number one after going for seven catches and over 100 yards. Marshawn Lynch needs to get going and if he can do that, the Seahawks should win this weekend.

Wilson was excellent despite the loss and he became the first quarterback to pass for 300 yard and have 100 rushing yards in the same game. Reports had Wilson and Harvin not totally meshing together with the Seahawks and clearly the team put their support behind Wilson fully and they feel comfortable having traded Harvin even though he is a very talented player. Baldwin now comes in to step up as the number one receiver and he is already on pace to match or pass his career highs from his rookie season and from last season.

Baldwin had a big game in the loss against the Rams, putting up seven catches to lead the team with 123 receiving yards and he also scored a touchdown. Baldwin led the team with 11 targets from Wilson and that should continue this weekend against the Carolina Panthers. Baldwin is a strong PPR start option and he could be a WR2 or WR3 in most leagues and he comes in after putting up 23 catches in six games this year. Baldwin should only produce more now that Harvin is gone and he was one of the players that Harvin previously fought with.

Baldwin had his best season as a rookie with 51 catches for 788 yards to set career highs and he was right about there with 50 catches for 778 yards last season. He also set a high with five TDs last year and while he only has one now, he could be in line to match or beat those numbers. Lynch has been up and down this season and he has not had a 100 yard game since the opening matchup with the Packers.

Lynch had a stretch where he had three TDs in three weeks, but he has not scored on the ground since Week 3. Lynch scored a receiving touchdown in three straight games from Week 2 to Week 5 with the bye there and now he will try and get going after putting up 53 yards on 18 carries against the Rams. Lynch has been one of the best RBs in the league over the past few seasons and he has 420 yards on 97 carries in six games this year. The Seahawks will try and bounce back against the Panthers this weekend.
