The Atlanta Falcons have not gotten to see much of their dynamic wide receiver trio this season. While Julio Jones leads the group, Roddy White is struggling in defense as Harry Douglas continues to sit out with a foot injury. Unfortunately for the Falcons, this is what plagued them last season as Jones sat out with an injury, White was inconsistent and Douglas was double-teamed every game. However, as the Falcons grow desperate for some kind of momentum, they might get two players back on offense to help things out.

Douglas has participated in practice this week as the Falcons work out in London prior to their game against the Detroit Lions at Wembley Stadium. His status has officially be upgraded to game-time decision, the first bit of good news surrounding the wide receiver in weeks. Douglas has not been seen on the field for a month as the offense continues to struggle. Practicing is certainly a good sign, but that does not mean he plays on Sunday or is effective on the field upon his return. After putting up over 1,000 yards last season, Douglas has just 121 yards of 12 catches to his name. That is certainly not what the Falcons were hoping for heading into 2014, but the trend of injuries just seems to continue.

"Harry's done very well ," head coach Mike Smith said, via the team's website. "He will be a decision that we make as we get closer to the game, but he's been able to come out and participate in practice the past two days, so he was a limited participant again today, but I like the progress he's made through the week."

The Falcons have been struggling with injuries on the offensive line which is proving to be the main issue of their downfall. There was thought that maybe one or two of the players would make it back to help with depth, but at this point the only recognizable name is Jake Matthews who is currently hobbled by an ankle injury.

The Falcons could be forced to make a trade or two at the deadline in order to acquire someone that can help keep Matt Ryan upright or effectively rush the passer. The first name that would head to the trade block could be Steven Jackson. The veteran has not been effective at all this season. Much of that is due to the offensive line as Jackson can still be a beast when he gets a hole. However, the Falcons have Antone Smith, Devonta Freeman and Jacquizz Rodgers on the roster which makes Jackson expendable. If Atlanta negotiates right, they could get something in return for the running back.
