Each position in the American League and National League has three finalists and the swards will be announced live on November 4. The coverage for that will be on the Baseball Tonight broadcast on ESPN2 at 4 pm ET and the ballots are voted on by managers and coaches and also done by stats. The split is 75 percent from managers and coaches, while the other 25 percent of the vote is done through a sabermetric defensive formula and with that, the coaches and managers cannot vote for their own players.

Some of the other big names to get nominated include World Series star Eric Hosmer at first base and he is there along with Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera. Robinson Cano has won a number of gloves with the Yankees and now he is in with Dustin Pedroia, who was the 2013 winner, and Detroit's Ian Kinsler.
