Omar Infante #14 of the Kansas City Royals rounds the bases after hitting a home run in the sixth inning against San Francisco Giants during Game Two of the 2014 World Series at Kauffman Stadium on October 22, 2014 in Kansas City, Missouri."

The Kansas City Royals won over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night in the World Series and now things are tied up 1-1 after Game 2 and KC pushed ahead on a big home run from Omar Infante and it was Jake Peavy who started for SF, while rookie Yordano Ventura started the game for the Royals.

Things are now ties after the Giants won the first game of the WS and the series will pick up in San Francisco as the Giants host Game 3 on Thursday night. Jeremy Guthrie and Tim Hudson will be on the mound and after that Jason Vargas will take on Ryan Vogelsong in the pitching matchup. During the game Salvador Perez and Hunter Strickland were seen jawing at each other and while it didn't escalate, it could give the Royals a boost moving forward.

After scoring three runs in the first inning in game one, the Giants got a leadoff home run from Gregor Blanco, but the Royals tied it up in the next half inning. The World Series picks up on Thursday for the next matchup and the game turned on the five run inning for the Royals.

The Giants now are on a great roll over the past two postseasons and they have just two losses during their run of the playoffs this year. The Royals had won eight games in a row heading into the Game 1 of the series and the team now has to come back from 1-0 down and that is very hard to do for anyone, especially in the World Series. Only three times over the last 18 series that it happened has a team come back from that and now it will be even tougher with home field advantage taking a hit.

The Giants had their new ace Madison Bumgarner on the mound and he was as good as advertised, putting up a fantastic performance in KC. Bumgarner put his team into the postseason for real after a win against the Pirates in the wild card game and he has just continued to roll as the playoffs have gone on.

The World Series 2014 coverage is live on the radio from ESPN and the game with the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals starts up at 8 pm ET and the matchup will be streaming from ESPNRadio.com as SF leads 1-0 in the series over KC and for game 2 it will be Jake Peavy against Yordano Ventura on the mound from Kauffman Stadium.
