The Arizona Cardinals won again on Sunday and while Andre Ellington had a bit of an injury scare, the running back looks good to go for Week 8 for fantasy football owners, while Stepfan Taylor could be a solid free agent pickup along with Benny Cunningham, Matt Asiata, Bernard Pierce, Taylor, Chris Ivory and Anthony Dixon if he misses time moving forward.

Ellington comes out of the weekend with some sore ribs, but all reports say the injury is not serious, but owners should keep an eye on it in the coming weeks. Ellington dealt with a foot injury earlier in the season and those can linger, but so far he has not had any major issues with it. Taylor came in on Sunday and played well, snagging two touchdowns from Ellington and that could be a role for him going forward. Taylor is only an option in deeper league unless Ellington goes down with an injury.

For some insurance, there are a number of players past Taylor that fantasy owners can look at from other teams, including Benny Cunningham, Bernard Pierce, Chris Ivory, Andre Williams, Bryce Brown, Jerick McKinnon and Branden Oliver as well as Anthony Dixon and Lamar Miller. Some of those players have gotten opportunities because of injuries and many are still available in leagues for fantasy owners to pick up. Andre Williams will continue starting until Rashad Jennings returns and the Giants RB will be back in Week 9 after a bye this week.

Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown are interesting options, as both should get touches moving forward with CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson injured. Spiller is done for the season and Jackson is out for a few weeks with a groin injury and that makes either Dixon or Brown the starter. Dixon got the bulk of the work on Sunday, but that could change moving forward, as Brown has more experience in his career. The Jets run D is usually solid, but they got beat badly against the Chargers and now Dixon and Brown could do that this weekend.

Bernard Pierce has slowly started getting back into his main role with the Ravens after the emergence of Justin Forsett and while he did not have a crazy day rushing the ball, he did get into the endzone again. Peirce now has two TDs in the past two games and while he had just 21 yards rushing compared to 95 for Forsett, getting that TD was big and it could be a sign of him starting to breakout.

Tre Mason could be a factor for the Rams after the way he played this weekend and he ended up with 85 yards in the game and he also had a touchdown. While the Rams also have Benny Cunningham and Zac Stacy, Mason now could be the player that gets in there with his explosiveness. Denard Robinson had a huge game last week and he could be a very solid pickup for the Jaguars, as they have been looking for a consistent option to run the ball over Toby Gerhart.
