Travis Ishikawa #45 of the San Francisco Giants celebrates after he hits a three-run walk-off home run to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-3 during Game Five of the National League Championship Series at AT&T Park on October 16, 2014 in San Francisco, California."

The World Series for 2014 is set with the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals and the TV schedule is on the FOX channel for all the games and the start date is next Tuesday and the Fall Classic opens in Kansas City at Kauffman Stadium and the matchup likely will have Madison Bumgarner against James Shields for Game 1.

The Royals won in a sweep over the Orioles, while the Giants won in five games against the Cardinals and now it will be San Francisco against Kansas City in the World Series. The Giants won in the bottom of the ninth in Game 5 with a home run from Travis Ishikawa and that came after he botched a fly ball earlier in the game that led to St. Louis runs. It was also the first postseason homer for Ishikawa and now the Giants are back in the World Series for the third time in five seasons.

---for anyone who can's make it to the bottom of the page for the schedule: Game 1 will be on Tuesday on FOX from Kansas City, followed by Game 2 on Wednesday.--

The Giants come into the series after winning the wild card game over the Pirates and they also won over the Washington Nationals and now they are through to the championship. The Royals have been as hot as any team in any sport, winning all of their playoff games and not losing any and now they head home for the World Series. The AL won the All-Star Game, so home field is for the American League and they will have the first two games at home. The Giants will have Games 3-5 in San Francisco and depending on how the first two games go, SF could win the series at home.

Travis Ishikawa put the Giants in the World Series and Madison Bumgarner was named as the NLCS MVP and he could be the major key for the team in the next matchup with the Royals. Shields and Madison Bumgarner come in after pitching very well in the championship series and the Giants have shown they can pull out any game at any time. The team did not hit a home run for over 230 at-bats before blasting one in Game 5 and they ended the game with three and they could be heating up at the right time.

Michael Wacha gave up the home run for the Cardinals and now the Giants are once again in the World Series for the third time in five seasons. The team has won two championships over that span and they are the exact opposite as the Royals, as the Giants are experienced and they have been here before. Michael Morse hit the home run to tie the game before Ishikawa had his chance and now the Royals will come in playing hotter than anyone.
