The Kansas City Royals rush the field to celebrate after the final out in a series-clinching 2-1 win against the Baltimore Orioles in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. "

The 2014 World Series schedule is set for the MLB playoffs and the start date is on Tuesday and will be on TV from the FOX channel and the Kansas City Royals have already clinched their spot for the baseball championship and now they await the winner of the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals series and Game 1 will be at Kauffman Stadium in KC.

The first game will be at Kansas City on Tuesday, October 21 and the Game 2 matchup will be on Wednesday from FOX at Kauffman Stadium. The next three games will be in either St. Louis or San Francisco and that will go from Friday to Sunday. The series picks up the next week on Tuesday with the Game 6 matchup in Kansas City followed by Game 7, if necessary.

The playoffs have been very exciting and 13 games have already been decided by one run and the Royals series with the Orioles was very close. The Orioles were one of the best teams in the league just like the Angels and now they are on their way home after the Royals took care of sweeping out the last two series. The World Series will have new blood against old blood, as the NL teams have made it to the last five WS matchups.

The Royals have not been there in 30 years and now they have the chance to keep things going after eight straight wins. The Royals look unbeatable and the Giants and Cardinals both will be prepared for them, but Kansas City also will get rest and will get the chance to set the rotation. The Giants and the Cardinals play on Thursday in San Francisco and the next two matchups are scheduled for St. Louis on Saturday and Sunday.

The Royals have not lost a game now in the playoffs after reeling off eight straight victories and they swept both the ALCS and ALDS over the Orioles and Angels. The Royals were the wild card team in the AL, but they will have home field advantage because the American League won the All-Star game, which makes perfect sense.
