Germany and Ireland are playing live on the Euro 2016 qualifier schedule on Wednesday and the game is live at 2:45 pm ET from Stadion Gelsenkirchen and the matchup is a big one for the German side, as they come in after winning the World Cup against Argentina and is the next major tournament in Europe and the team is hoping to make an impact.
Germany will have Andre Schuerrle has joined Christoph Kramer out for this game and they come in against an Ireland team that did not make it into the World Cup this year. Germany is considered the best team in the world right now and they come in with an experienced team and a strong team after the World Cup and they will be the favorites for this tournament once qualifiers are all done with. Ireland is looking to pull the upset, but winning away in Germany is a very tough prospect.
Ireland will have striker Jon Walters in the matchup and the team is looking for a win here or at least some points. The team has a tough schedule and they play against Scotland next month and then they have Poland way down the line in March. The team later has another game with Germany next year and they have a home matchup with Scotland in June and they also have Georgia and Gibraltar next year as well. The team has a major run to get into the Euro 2016 tournament and playing against Germany will make it tough as the qualifiers play out.
Germany will be down a number of important players, including Mesut Ozil, Marco Reus and Bastian Schweinsteiger and that could make it tougher for the team to win out. The Ireland side is already down a bit coming in with Germany playing so well and they are clearly the favorites in the matchup. Ireland comes into things in the group even with Poland after winning their first two qualifiers and Germany is two points back and the German side will be looking for points here.
Germany had a fantastic run in the tournament in the World Cup and they eventually won the whole thing. The German side played a tough match with the United States in the group stage and they made it through playing very well through the tournament. Germany will be without a number of main stars and they have Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels also should make an impact in the game. Keane is the player to watch on
