MLB Playoff Standings: Royals Lead Baltimore Orioles 3-0 In ALCS, Cardinals NLCS 2-1 With Giants

The MLB playoff standings has the Royals up 2-0 on the Baltimore Orioles in the ALCS with Game 3 on Monday night and the Cardinals are now tied with the Giants after winning off of a home run from Kolten Wong in the NLCS and the series is 1-1 with a travel day into Game 3 on Tuesday in San Francisco.

The Royals have not lost this postseason in six games and now they have the chance to clinch the series during this home stretch, as the next three games will be in Kansas City. Wei-Yin Chen is on the mound against Jeremy Guthrie for Game 3 and the Game 4 matchup will be on Tuesday with Miguel Gonzalez against Jason Vargas and this is a huge game for both teams.

The Royals have been playing better than anyone else in either league and they have the chance to take a commanding 3-0 lead in front of their own fans. The team won the wild card game at Kauffman Stadium and now they have the chance for another victory during this streak. The Giants and Cardinals played a back and forth game that saw the Giants tie it up late, but St. Louis was able to win it in the bottom of the ninth.
