Fantasy Start or Sit Week 6: Ben Tate Starter Over Terrance West With Jordan Cameron, Andrew Hawkins

Oct 12, 2014 11:16 AM EDT

The Cleveland Browns had a major comeback win on Sunday and now Ben Tate comes into Week 6 as the top fantasy football start option over Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell, while Jordan Cameron, Andrew Hawkins and Travis Benjamin are the best receiver options for Brian Hoyer until Josh Gordon is allowed to come back from his suspension.

Tate had been injured since Week 1 before coming back and he had a great game last week for the Browns, helping them in a comeback victory. West and Crowell had played well while Tate was out, but now the team is ready to keep feeding him the ball and he should be getting increased carries as the weeks go on as long as he stays healthy. West and Crowell are solid bench options to keep if owners can handle it, as they are going to be the starters if Tate goes down again and he has had injury issues during his career. Tate owners were thrilled at the performance last week with over 100 yards and he had a full slate of carries and there were no issues about his workload.

Brian Hoyer and the Browns were impressive in their comeback and for owners waiting on Josh Gordon, both Travis Benjamin and Andrew Hawkins are solid pickups. Benjamin made it into the endzone last weekend and he could be a surprise this week and it comes as TE Jordan Cameron has been dealing with injuries and has so far not broken out with a big fantasy performance. Tate comes into the game this week after rushing for 123 yards on 22 carries against the Titans and if he stays healthy he could have a big season for Cleveland.

Tate has now played in two games and has rushed for 165 yards overall and once Cameron gets fully healthy and Josh Gordon comes back, the team could be very good on offense. The Browns need to do a lot this season to be in the playoff mix, but they have the personnel to put up points for fantasy owners. Once Gordon comes back Hoyer will become more valuable and he could help the rushing game as well.
