Reported Arsenal target Thomas Muller has hinted at a move away from Bayern Munich, if he fails to establish a regular starting berth.

Muller is considered one of the best young strikers in Europe and has spent his entire career with Bayern, after coming up from their youth system.

Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the German's talents and has been linked with a move in the past. Other English Premier League heavyweight Manchester United have also reportedly kept a close eye on Muller's career, with Sir Alex Ferguson keen to bolster the forward line this season.

Muller, who won the Golden boot and was named the best young player in the 2010 World Cup, was used as a substitute by Bayern for the majority of last season. The two Milan clubs have also been heavily linked with the German international.

Muller, who has a contract till 2015, said, while his heat lies with Bayern, he would find it difficult to stay with the German giants if he found playing time hard to come by. "Whoever knows me knows that FC Bayern is my club," he told German newspaper Bild. "I am a Bayern player through and through and that should not really change.

"However, I would not be the kind of person to just sit out my contract if I was not satisfied with my situation in my club.

"But I don't feel any transfer intentions at the moment."

Wenger is keen to sign another established player for the upcoming season, with Robin Van Persie expected to leave the North London club. While Arsenal have already brought in Olivier Giroud and experienced German international Lukas Podolski, Wenger is looking to strengthen his squad further.

Muller would fit in very well with Arsenal's style of play, if he were to make a move. The 22-year-old can play on the right as well as through the middle and a front-three of Podolski, Giroud and Muller all capable of changing position at will would bode well for Arsenal.

However, if Muller were to leave, which is very unlikely, the German international would not come cheap and it remains to be seen if Wenger is ready to shell out the kind of money that Bayern would expect for their player.

Meanwhile, French side Caen confirmed highly-rated teenager M'Baye Niang had joined Arsenal on trial with the club's permission.

"Contrary to what has been written on certain French and foreign websites, M'Baye Niang has left to have a trial at Arsenal with the agreement of president Jean-Francois Fortin and technical staff headed by Patrice Garande.

"At this point, Caen has not received any offer from a club, either in France or abroad, for Niang."
