The MLB playoffs schedule picks up for the ALCS on Friday for the start of that series between the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals and the game will be on the TBS TV channel and the start time for the game is at 8 pm ET as KC and the O's matchup for the American League championship.

The playoffs schedule has the NLDS still going on in both series, with the Giants leading the Nationals 2-1 and the Cardinals leading the Dodgers two games to one. The ALCS was set after three games each for the Orioles and Royals, as they swept out the Tigers and the Angels to knock off two of the favorites in the AL.

The Angels were the top team in baseball and now that means the Orioles will hold home field advantage through the championship series and World Series if they advance. The Royals will make either the Nationals, Dodgers or Cardinals fans pissed if they advance, as KC only has more wins than the Giants of teams left in the NL. The AL won the All Star game, so by the rules of baseball, the American League gets home field for the World Series, because that makes tons of sense still after all these years.

The series starts up on Friday from Baltimore and that game will be at 8 pm ET on TBS and has the two teams throwing their aces. The second matchup is on Saturday and will be at 4 pm ET on TBS from Baltimore before Game 3 shifts to Kansas City. Kauffman Stadium has been loud and proud and they cheered on their team from the wild card game and then saw the team clinch the ALCS after sweeping out the Angels in three games in the ALDS.

The Royals have not been here in decades and they will be looking to make a surprise run to the World Series after winning the wild card. In the NL, things are set now that the Cardinals have won over the Dodgers, while the Giants won over the Nationals, another wild card team beating the top seed in their respective league.

The series picks up on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Kansas City and those games will be wild for the KC fans and there is a chance that it could end there if there is a sweep. The next matchup will be on Friday if necessary in Baltimore followed by a potential Game 7 matchup. The teams are playing very well right now and they have had rest and can set up their rotations as well. The earliest date that the World Series can start is on Tuesday, October 21.
