Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (12) defends Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard (12) in the second half in game four of the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs at the Moda Center. "

The Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are playing live on the NBA Preseason schedule on Tuesday and the game from American Airlines Center starts up at 8:30 pm ET and has the two rival Texas teams matching up ahead of the season and it comes after Chandler Parsons signed with the Mavs in the offseason and that should add some intrigue to this exhibition game.

The Rockets come into the game after winning 54 games last season and getting upset against the Blazers in the playoffs and now they will try and make a run this season. Losing Parsons is tough since it's the Mavs and now more pressure will be on James Harden and Dwight Howard to get things done. The team was one of the best offensive units in the league last year, averaging over 105 points to rank second in the league, but now they have to make up the scoring from Parsons and Jeremy Lin.

The team was also second in rebounding and while Howard was a big part of that, so was Omer Asik and he was traded to the Pelicans. Parsons had some controversy with some comments over the offseason about his new deal and he said that he is ready to play for the Mavs. The Rockets and the Mavericks have gone back and forth over the past few years about Howard and other players and now the Mavs have Parsons and that should add a streak of intrigue for the preseason matchup.
