Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh warms up prior to a home game in 2013."

Do not ask Ndamukong Suh about his future career plans. He will not answer them. A lot has been made regarding the future of the defensive tackle after he and the Detroit Lions failed to agree upon a contract extension this past summer. Now with the chance to enter the open market in 2015, Suh could become a potential trade target at the mid-season deadline in order for the Lions to get something in return. With every reporter trying to get a hint at what Suh's mindset is, the All-Pro star is not talking.

Last week, ESPN's Adam Schefter put out a report stating the Lions and Suh were prepared to part ways at the end of the season, giving up on agreeing to a long-term contract. Suh wants to be the highest paid defensive player in the league and with JJ Watt setting the bar at $100 million, the Lions were supposedly giving up. Schefter went on to say that Suh favored signing with either the New York Giants or Jets, looking to get into a bigger market in order to expand his image and brand. When asked to comment, Suh declined.

"I cannot address that [report] just from the simple fact that I have not spoken to any reporter about it or any reporters about supposedly what has come out," Suh said, via the Detroit Free Press.

Suh had yet to speak with media since the report surfaced. He avoided talks following the team's win over the Jets and had yet to speak after practice. That only fueled speculation that he was fully ready to jump ship at the end of the year. Detroit and Suh are no longer talking about his contract and the defensive tackle's lack of talking just makes people believe he has no intentions of starting them again.

There are plenty of teams that would be very interested in Suh either via trade or with a free agent contract. Despite the suspensions and fines he has received over the years, the talent still prevails. Any team in contention at the mid-season trading period could seek out a deal. Suh will not be cheap, likely worth a first-round draft pick, but someone like the Chicago Bears or Dallas Cowboys might be willing if they are also certain Suh signs on for the long-term next summer. Meanwhile, Nick Fairley could benefit from this considering his fifth-year option was declined. Losing Suh means Detroit cannot afford to lose Fairley too.
