The Michigan Wolverines have been under fire as of late and some have called for head coach Brady Hoke and athletic director Dave Brandon to be fired and this came before the whole concussion controversy with the Wolverines QB Shane Morris and now rumors have the school looking to target Jim Harbaugh as their next head coach if they make a chance from Hoke.

According to ESPN.com, Hoke has been dealing with immense pressure following a tough start to the season and the Shane Morris situation and now Dave Brandon has come under fire as well. Students held a protest and called for Brandon to be fired and the student newspaper went at Hoke asking for the same thing. CBS Sports writes that Jim Harbaugh could be a candidate for the Wolverines if Hoke is fired, but so far Harbaugh has dismissed all those claims.

Harbaugh previously played at Michigan and some have called that his "dream job". Harbaugh has had great success in the NFL, going to three straight NFC title games and one Super Bowl and that came after he turned Stanford into a powerhouse again. Harbaugh will continue to come up and depending on what happens with Hoke, it could happen sooner rather than later after the season is over.

Hoke got off to a great start at Michigan and returned after being a coach there. Hoke came in after success at Ball State and San Diego State and he took the team to an 11-2 record in his first season. The team made it into the Sugar Bowl and won over Virginia Tech and that was the first BCS bowl for the team since back in 2006 and things looked promising. Things have not gone all that great for Michigan since then and this season they have lost three games before the month of October for the first time.

Hoke came in after leading ball State to a 12-1 record and then he went to San Diego State and had great success, becoming the first nine win coach in 30 years for the team. Hoke came in with some solid credentials and he was tasked with taking Michigan into the next era and so far it has not turned out great. Hoke has come under fire and so has his boss Dave Brandon and depending on how the rest of the season goes, they may not last the year.

Hoke is 2-3 this season and he was just 7-6 the year before and he has decreased wins each season since going 11-2. The team had eight wins in 2012 and seven in 2013 and they went 3-5 in the Big Ten last season after going 6-2 in the previous two years. The loss to Minnesota at home was embarrassing and the Morris situation has made both Brandon and Hoke the target of students and past athletes from the school as well.
